This feature of the style guide is to highlight ‘Moguls’ in their field of work.

May 23rd 2009 was the 10th Anniversary of Asian Woman Achievements Awards at the Hilton, Park Lane.  For this event I was requested to style the CEO Corporate banking for Lloyds TSB Bank.

I met Diana at her office a week before the event.  Diana is one of the busiest ladies in London so I had already prepared a few choice selections for her.  Diana is a designer diva, powerful and poised; therefore I wanted her outfit to also make an impact.  After some discussion, together we decided on a lovely champagne colour sari.  Now that the sari was selected I completed the outfit with complimenting accessories.

It was a total pleasure and privilege to style Diana for this award ceremony.  She told me it seemed such a long time since she had time to relax and be pampered. Diana is one outstanding woman herself, working in the tough and corporate capital, one can only applaud her for her business acumen, her professional commitment and also being a mother of two children.

Diana ‘s professional background includes over 15 years international experience in corporate finance, mergers and acquisition, financial management, treasury and audit experience at The Coca-Cola Company, complemented by CEO role in the e-commerce sector. She has also worked and lived overseas about 50% of the last 15 years – spending five years in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.  To add, she is a Fellow member of both ACCA and ACT.

Diana started 2004 Lloyds TSB as Corporate Banking Director responsible for Corporates with a turnover range between 25m and 750m. In 2007 her responsibilities were extended further as she became CEO of Corporate Banking and Co-Head of Corporate Markets.

Diana also manages Lloyds TSB Corporate Banking that includes the International Corporate Banking and Money Transmission businesses as well as the bank’s private equity business, Lloyd’s Development Capital.

Who said it was a man’s world? Diana has surely made her mark as a Mogul amongst the men of the world.  I found Diana to be a warm and down to earth woman with a great sense of humour.

I salute her magnificent mindset and amazing motivation for being such an inspiration and role model to other women!
