This feature of the style guide is to highlight ‘Moguls’ in their field of work. I’ve met Kamel a few times at awards ceremonies and social events and each time she is poised, elegant and has a very natural and friendly way with people around her.
Kamel Hothi is Director of South Asian markets Lloyds Bank, and Chair of the Government National Employment Panel for Procurement. Kamel drives the bank’s strategy for the Asian business community and influences government policies on ethnic diversity in the workplace.
No doubt an influential figure nevertheless a woman with strong traditional values. Married with two children I asked her “what is the secret of her success?”, hard work and balance of work and home life she replied.
I have complete admiration for this Mogul and I’m honoured to style her for this first shoot and the launch of Style Moguls.

Kamel’s first outfit creates a professional look for work. A classic black suit matched with a pink shirt to add femininity. Clean sharp lines creating a powerful look with corporate colours.
Outfit: Black trouser suit, pink shirt.
Hair: tied back into a roll.
Make-up: light make-up application; focus on eyes, gloss lips and rosy cheeks.
Accessories: small hooped earrings, Bvlgari cufflinks, black boots.

In the second picture, Kamel is wearing another black and white shirt. Chiffon ruffled detail reflects a softer and less formal work image. This look can be used in more relaxed meetings or drinks with colleagues.
Outfit: cream coloured chiffon blouse with black detailing.
Hair: tied back into a roll.
Make-up: added more depth to eyes and darker lipstick for an evening look.
Accessories: floral leather clutch bag, open toed shoes, diamond necklace.
